The menu bar and tray
Status and quick actions without opening the window.
On macOS Teitunnel has a menu bar icon; on Windows it's in the notification area and on Linux in the system tray (left click opens the app on Windows, right click shows the menu). The icon shows a dot when a route isn't working. Its menu has:
- a health line ("All 3 routes live", "1 of 3 routes not working"),
- each route with its status, to copy its URL or open it,
- Stop Routes on This Mac / Start Routes on This Mac (This PC on Windows, This Computer on Linux),
- your Quick Shares, with Share a Local Port…,
- Open Teitunnel and Quit Teitunnel.
Stopping routes yourself doesn't count as a problem, so the icon stays plain.
Closing the window leaves Teitunnel running in the menu bar. Settings ▸ General ▸ Open at login starts it there when you log in, without opening the window. You can hide the icon in Settings ▸ General ▸ Menu bar.
